Here is some new information regarding the Chapter and some dates to remember, mark your calendars.
New VP and Board Members:
- Tom Skidmore was officially elected and accepted position of Vice President Norfolk Chapter - InfraGard.
- Terran Jones and Anthony (Tony) Scarola were both inducted as new board memebers to the Chapter on January 19th, 2012. Congratulations to each of them and welcome to the Board!
2012 Meeting Dates to remember (Mark your Calendars):
March 14th Quarterly Meeting - Opsail 2012 preparation, Port Security and other important information. Lunch Meeting with Pizza and Sodas at Dominion Enterprises
June 20th Quarterly meeting - Disaster Preparedness (evening meeting around 5:30 or 6 pm start with Pizza & drinks, location TBD).
Sept 12th Quarterly meeting - Cyber Identity Theft (time & location TBD)
October Conference - Cyber Security Conference at Thomas Nelson Community College (More details to come)
December Quarter meeting - Homeland Security Speaker & Pot Luck Lunch
New Ideas/Items:
- spring/summer picnic still up for discussion
- we've had several requests to hold meetings outside of work hours so members can attend, so we are having at least two lunch meetings and one evening meeting this year.
- we would like to reach out to the Eastern Shore to gain more membership, if anyone has any contacts, please forward to me or Darren.
- up for discussion, Small Business outreach to educate on cyber related issues.
- FBI SA Betty Rios is working with DC to coordinate a tri-chapter meeting or conference
